In future we are planning that this space will also include your own experiences re: your rights. We are currently working with OUCH, Westminster's youth magazine to develop this area further. Your Rights and the Law
You may find yourself involved in the criminal justice system either as a victim or perpetrator of crime. However, young people often do not report their experiences of crime and can also often be wrongly identified as being suspected of committing crime.

Housing and homelessness
Homelessness can be caused by many factors, including: domestic violence, loss of income, the break-up of a relationship or disputes with parents. It can be very confusing to know who to go to for advice and support if you have to leave home.

Money and Benefits
There are a wide range of benefits available to support you in a variety of circumstances e.g. If you are looking for work, on a low income or have children to support, you might be able to claim benefit payments, if you are a student. Benefits available include: child benefit, working family tax credit, income support, job seekers allowance and housing benefit. These are only available to people over the age of 16.
