| Services: | Services and Activities: The Bayswater Family Centre provides support to homeless and refugee families living in temporary accommodation in the W2 area of London. The Centre operates a drop-in/open door policy. Working with children: The Bayswater Families Centre offers a wide range of services to homeless families living in Bed & Breakfast, hostel, or temporary accommodation in the Bayswater & Paddington areas. The Centre offers a daily Drop-in supervised play facility, Early Learning Sessions for 3-5 year olds concentrating on basic English. The drop-in staff also provides crèche services for classes throughout the day. An After School Club is run 3 afternoons a week for vulnerable children attending local schools offering homework support, access to computers, sports, drama groups, arts and crafts activities and trips and other activities during the school holidays. Throughout the year we hold parties and celebrations for many religious festivals, there is also a programme of day trips and activities during the summer holidays to include all families’ regardless of age, ethnicity, sex or religion. Advice & Advocacy: The Advice Team provide a 4 day a week duty service which offers advice, advocacy and information on welfare benefits & housing; dealing with emergencies and complex issues around housing and benefits. In addition, the team provides a more intensive social work intervention and a wide range of practical support such as, baby equipment, food, clothing and household equipment. Team also provides outreach advice sessions at local schools. Adult Learning: Computer classes are available throughout the week for adults with a crèche available Services Available: Drop-in for carers and children under 5 yrs old 12.30 - 4.00 Monday - Friday Advice and Information on housing, benefits and education - a duty worker is available from 12pm - 3pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Emergency Welfare Provision: Food, clothing, baby and household equipment. Social Worker can assist with family problems, child protection. SHELTER Housing advice: Thursday mornings by appointment Health assessment and GP registration - nurse or Health worker available by request. After school club: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 4.00 - 6.00pm Early years Pre School Classes: for 3 - 5 year olds, 9.30 - 11.00am Wednesday and Friday. 10 registered places Public Transport: Buses: 36, 70, 23, 27, 28, 31, 32, 8, 7, 36.
