Services: Westminster Befriend A Family offers services for families living in Westminster with at least one child aged 14 years or under. It recruits, trains and supports volunteers to befriend individual families and visit them regularly in their homes. Their volunteers can help families with practical and emotional support.

The service welcomes referrals of families who could benefit form the service and people who want to volunteer. Families can contact them directly.

For children who have caring responsibilities, befriending by a volunteer can provide regular time (usually visiting once a week) to go out and enjoy a normal fun and learning activity such as playing football in the park, swimming, going to a museum or the library, i.e. things that may be difficult for the parent to do with them.

They also work with families who are homeless or in temporary accommodation and refugees and asylum seekers.

Also they have a weekly swimming and karate lessons for families during term time.
